Enthusiast's House

residential architecture | concept

At the edge of Denver’s City Park, the Enthusiast's House is a contemporary inclusion into a traditional neighborhood.  To reflect the historical language of the adjacent homes, the facade is designed to incorporate the “Denver-square” style - a centered entry with windows at each corner and a usable front porch.

The interior spaces are designed as a filter that provides the owners with entertaining spaces disconnected from the more private spaces within the home. The transition from open spaces to more private spaces occurs gradually as you walk further towards the back of the house. As you walk into the house your view is drawn to niches that frame the owner’s collection of art and unique automobiles. The living spaces occur primarily on the upper levels while the lowest level of the house functions as a storage space and workshop for restoring unique vintage cars.
